Catherine Léger a grandi à Gatineau, mais habite Montréal. Diplômée du programme d’écriture dramatique de l’École nationale de théâtre du Canada en 2005, elle a écrit, entre autres, J’ai perdu mon mari, Princesses et Opium_37. En 2006 elle a remporté le prix Gratien-Gélinas pour sa pièce Voiture américaine. Elle a participé aux collectifs S’appartenir, 26 lettres : abécédaire des mots en perte de sens et au Cabaret Jusqu’où te mènera ta langue ? Elle a co-scénarisé, avec Sophie Lorain, le film La Petite Reine.
